ABOUT THE WORK

THE ARTIST'S STUDIO

My studio is sort of a tree house, located on the upper floor of my home in Glendower Court. I look out at tops of roofs and trees and sky from large windows in the studio.

In this quiet world, apart from the stress and traffic of the city, I find the time and inspiration to create abstracts, landscapes and portraits. I feel as if I have rediscovered a part of myself that is so essential to my life.

A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST

After years of work in the graphic design arena, I returned to serious painting in 1995. My first collectors were clients in the design business, and their support and encouragement is what propelled me into spending more time painting. This re-dedication has led to considerable interest from collectors and resulted in shows in Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Austin, Santa Fe, Cody and other places outside of my hometown of Houston.

Keith Hoak, owner of Arden’s Gallery, and I joined forces in 2002. It is an ideal fit – I was searching for a boutique gallery to display my work and the windows at Arden’s on busy West Alabama are a perfect showcase for my paintings.

Now, I am fully engaged as an independent painter and owe thanks to the many art consultants, collectors and interior designers who have found my work and continue to support me.
